South Charlotte
The first area of fine Charlotte
neighborhoods was south of Uptown Charlotte, subsequent growth has followed a
similar pattern. Today, South Charlotte homes and neighborhoods are some of the
region’s finest. And the growth south has continued all the way past the city
and county boundary line into the bordering counties of Union, York and
Lancaster (additional info on available homes in these counties on the Union County and South
Carolina tabs).
South Charlotte real estate is mostly encompassed in the
area from outside I-277 in Center City headed south between Park Road (521 old
and new) and Providence Road. Our MLS used to be divided into areas and South
Charlotte was area 5. I have included the old MLS map so you can get an idea of the boundaries.
